Omhulsel is 'n pyp met groot deursnee wat dien as die strukturele houer vir die mure van olie- en gasputte, of boorput. Dit word in 'n boorput geplaas en vasgesement om beide ondergrondse formasies en die boorput teen ineenstorting te beskerm en laat boorvloeistof sirkuleer en onttrekking plaasvind.Staal omhulselpype het gladde muur en minimum opbrengssterkte van 35,000 psi.
Wel omhulsel dien ook sywand.Standaarde en Tegniese Voorwaardes vir Voorsiening: API Spec 5CT ISO13680 Graad: J55, K55, N80-1, N80-Q, L80-1, L80-9Cr, L80-13Cr,C95, P110.Loopvlaktipes: NUE, EUE, VAM, STC, LTC, BTC, spesiale klaring, XC, VAM TOP, NUWE VAM.
Olieomhulselpyp: Omhulsels word gebruik vir die bevestiging van die putmuur of ondergat, wat wye deursnee het, kan verdeel word in geleieromhulsels, tegniese omhulsels en olieomhulsels.
Gebruike: Put omhulsel dien ook sywand.
